Many people around the globe don't have access to drinking water and proper sanitation. The Youth Water Network is a group of youngsters working together on water related problems. The network was launched during “Splash!” (the Third European Youth Congress for Water) in Belgium, March 2003.

Our principles are presented in a Mission Statement as follows: "Our mission is to increase youth participation in order to achieve sustainable water management through the processes of democracy, education and solidarity."
