The Festival VidéEau is an international competition for video clips organized by the International Secretariat for Water (ISW), in preparation for the International "Water and Film" Events that will take place in Istanbul in 2009, within the context of the 5th World Water Forum. Marockeau’07 was like last year a fantastic event. It took place in De Hoge Rielen, Kasterlee (Belgium) again. Last year we organized just one day but this year we have chosen for two days. International Seminar for Waters August 2007 Romania, Baia Mare An international seminar took place in Baia Mare. People from Belgium and from Turnu Magurele came to Baia Mare to take part in this event. First, after our guests arrived, we organized a festive opening, where also some invitees and officials from our town were present. In order to equal the success of Marockeau I (the in meanwhile famous Belgian charity event for the young water carriers ;-), we organized a sponsor quest on the 5th of may. 12 young volunteers marched the streets of Geel, Kasterlee, Lichtaart and Tielen in order to collect a considerable amount of money to help our young Moroccan friends. A leur issue, les jeunes ont proposé la réalisation d'un parcours éducatif et non-motorisée le long de l'Escaut en juin 2007. Ce parcours aurait pour objectifs de découvrir les différents facettes et richesses de ce fleuve, tout en respectant son environnement. Cette année, GREEN Belgium organise les 2èmes Rencontres Internationales de l'Escaut afin de rendre cet évènement possible. On Friday May 11th, ACW Kasterlee (Belgium) awarded their Rerum Novarum-recognition prize to the organisers of the first edition of Marockeau, which took place on 28/10/2006. After an introduction by the president of ACW, Hanne and I presented the past edition, the goals and the future of the charity festival Marockeau. Among the spectators were a few members of the Solidarity Council of Kasterlee, who sponsored last year's edition. This presentation gave us the chance to show what we used the money for and helped us to gain recognition in the region.

The 4th Session of the Parliament of the Young Inhabitants of Brussels for Water proceeded Wednesday May 9 in the regional hemicycle of Brussels. The goal is to make take part the young people between 11 and 18 years in a common initiative: the major problem of water ! Ce voyage au Maroc se faisait dans le cadre d'un projet que GREEN Belgium a introduit auprès du “Partenariat flamand pour l'eau et le développement” : Porteurs d'eau au Maroc. On the 11th and the 12th of April, 10 Belgian members of the Youth Water Network gathered to visit two companies for their Direct Dialogue project. On Wednesday the 11th, we went to the ecological soap producer Ecover. The person responsible for the environmental policies of the company explained the Ecover Stakeholder Management System. On March 23, the Youth Water Forum 'Troubled Waters' took place in the Belgian Senate. About 150 youngsters discussed about the worldwide water problems and formulated amendments on the Water Resolution of the Chamber of Representatives. In the afternoon, they presented their proposals to senators and the Belgian Prince Laurent.
